Salary range – US $120,000-$160,000 plus stock options

As the first Lead Researcher in NYC, you’ll lead the integration of robust market research principles into the platform while shaping and standardising best-in-class research delivery.

You’ll be a strategic leader and hands-on practitioner, managing complex projects as part of a small on-the-ground team in the US, with scope to grow this team in the future - collaborating cross-functionally with product and sales. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, sets high standards, and drives impact at scale.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Research Strategy & Methodology – ensuring alignment with platform goals and client needs.
• Survey Design & Automation – lead survey design recommendations & scale custom survey workflows.
• Client & Customer Success – building deep partnerships with enterprise clients and helping win & onboard new clients.
• Product - work alongside Product to enhance research capabilities and integrate research functionality into the platform.
• Mentorship - set and drive research delivery standards across teams.
• Research Ethics - championing data quality standards.

To thrive in this role, we envisage someone with at least several years of experience from a custom market research agency. An excellent communicator and presenter who can work as part a lean team on the ground in the US, while collaborating with the Customer and Research teams based in New Zealand and Australia.
