Description

This has all the markings of a super role.   Already ‘well in’ with Australian Federal and State Government departments, this highly skilled research team are looking to hire an Associate Research Director to keep up with the pace of growth.

An Associate Research Directors role is to engage with clients across commercial, social & government sectors, leverage existing relationships, be on top of new requests for research, write compelling proposals and retain the programs of research already in play.

The work is varied and interesting.  One day you might be talking finance and money with one of the big banks, the next you could be speaking to people who receive emergency food relief or working with tourism operators to allure holiday makers to vacation destinations.  Projects range from fun and playful to serious and impactful.

From a skills perspective, you could be a pure qualitative researcher who enjoys running projects end-to-end, and everything in between, or you could be a qual leaning dualist (70/30) who can contribute to quant projects.  Running groups and developing discussion guides are important, as is the ability to switch styles, hold an audience, and draw out key themes, findings, and insight.

With a solid pipeline of work already booked, this person will hit the ground running with projects.  The emphasis is on attentive client account management rather than new business development.
