Our client is a successful, fast growing and pacey research agency with offices across the USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific. In just one decade, they have grown rapidly and now work with more than half of the world’s top 100 brands. With numbers tracking well, the time has come to hire a Senior Research Manager – to take the lead on projects, service clients and help build the Australian business.
To begin with, you will need to be prepared to get your hands dirty with projects – an ‘all-in’ mentality. You will have off-shore project resource on hand so along with contributing to new business pitches, getting involved in client debriefs, designing research projects, analysing and interpreting research data, you will be encouraged to consult with clients and build out new business.
Everything they do is online quant. Their work spans continuous and ad hoc but every tracker is different and feels more like customised work - there is very little regular reporting.
The Sydney MD has a strong background in all things brand so it would be great if you can bring some shopper expertise into the mix, ideally including pack and POS testing, pricing analysis, product innovation… Fit is critical: we need smart people who have an opinion, driven, dynamic, hungry and interested in the digital world.
Development wise – you could move into a Research Team Lead role, with involvement in hand picking your own team, or you could decide to go down the client development route. As one of the 'Sydney originals' you will have the freedom to pave your own way.
